I can write a script to organize, pack with 7z, and upload into the Library via FTP. Files are organized per software product/title. However, if I don't use my mouse for a while, or disconnect it, two of the processes disappear as if two of these processes account for a single device.I received a copy of the entire MacintoshGarden software library. The only two options that I can think of are the computers built in keyboard and trackpad or a different set of peripherals that I used recently. Presumably, two of these processes are accounting for the external mouse and keyboard that I'm currently using. My activity monitor shows 4 unique "" processes. Just someone curious about their machine. This isn't pressing and I'm not especially tech savvy. Is there anything else that you would recommend i do?Įxcess "" processes in Activity Monitor Hi all, There isnt anything on the laptop that i am aware of that would be worth stealing like videos/pics/documents/passwords written down. Since then I have done a number of things to try and get rid of any potentially harmful software including: malwarebytes scan, manually deleting any files i can find associated to mackeeper/kromtech, etrescan, passwords all changed, sharing settings changed to block any remote access attempts, blocked the bank card that i used for payment I stayed watching the computer the whole time they were there and they went onto my activity monitor plus the terminal/some kind of logs page. I had used it previously and thought it was good, but after feeling super uncomfortable about it during the remote access I searched for reviews and was shocked with what I saw.Įveryone seems to call it malware and that's made me think that they were doing some really bad things with the remote access. I downloaded mackeeper, paid for a month of it and allowed them to remotely access my laptop for roughly 30 minutes.
